The Culinary Vision of Chef David CordĆŗa

At the heart of The Lymbar's culinary magic is our Chef/Owner, David CordĆŗa. A native Houstonian with deep roots in the restaurant world, Chef CordĆŗa honed his craft in Paris, earning the prestigious Grande Diplome in cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu. His experiences in renowned Parisian kitchens and within his family's celebrated CordĆŗa Restaurants have shaped his distinct culinary voice. Chef CordĆŗa masterfully blends vibrant Latin-Mediterranean flavors with classic French techniques. This fusion comes alive in our eclectic and sophisticated menu of shareable plates, featuring delights like Churrasco Bites with chimichurri  or the delicate Seared Diver Scallops with sweet corn polenta and pesto. His commitment to "Savor" and the inherent "CordĆŗality" - that family legacy of hospitality - are the cornerstones of the Buenas Vibras you'll feel the moment you walk in.

Step inside The Lymbar, and you'll find our "jewel-box" corner suite at The Ion, an atmosphere meticulously crafted by Gin Braverman of Gin Design Group to foster connection and comfort. Imagine settling into deep red velvet booths beside dark wood tables, all under subtle, inviting light. Our open theatre kitchen adds a spark of excitement, letting you witness the culinary artistry firsthand. The decor blends familiar comforts with a cozy, nostalgic "vintage living room" vibe, creating a space that embodies "the bustle of a hotel lobby, the polish of a private club, and the hospitality of the CordĆŗa family." It's the perfect contemporary haven to "Gather" - whether for an intimate dinner sharing Arroz Paella, a lively social get-together with friends over Empanadas, or a quiet, productive business lunch.
